This is house music. If you prefer his DnB, why not listen to his DnB? He even had the courtesy to use a different performing name, to ensure there was no confusion between projects.

You complain about the album not being aggressive enough, yet if you listen to any track all of the way through, different techniques are used throughout to create a house attack rather than a dnb onslaught. He manages to tie elements of house, electro, glitch, and dubstep together seamlessly, using his background as a DnB producer. For purists of any genre, that may be a turnoff. It's important, however, FOR A REVIEWER to review based on the actual matter at hand -- it sounds like you want more spor, and unfortunately this is Feed Me. Just review Spor when he releases something as Spor. just FYI, I'm quoting your comment "

True, but there's also been something of a backlash with a lot of his existing fans who aren't entirely happy with the direction he's apparently going in," as your obviously including yourself in the mix with the classic "some say" method.

In the future when you're reviewing a release by any one artist's project, perhaps grading them based off of the genre that the release is from would be a good idea. In the meantime, I ask you to please provide a better example of electro-dub-house-glitch to ensure that I see how this would be rated against it's peers. And rating it against anything released on mau5trap won't/didn't work, as those are each just one element of the music I just heard on this EP.

Who is confused?

You complain about the album not being aggressive enough, yet if you listen to any track all of the way through, different techniques are used throughout to create a house attack rather than a dnb onslaught.

Aside from the 2 dubstep tracks no, not really. But at the end of the day that's my opinion just as you have yours. So we'll scratch that sentence

He manages to tie elements of house, electro, glitch, and dubstep together seamlessly, using his background as a DnB producer.

Glitch lol

Bro, you sound smart. Do you read books?

In the future when you're reviewing a release by any one artist's project, perhaps grading them based off of the genre that the release is from would be a good idea.

I'm sorry, but who are you? Do me a favour and read the review. I compared Feed Me to Feed Me of all people (!!!) when I said how this failed in comparison to his much more aggressive and vibrant early work. Spor is mentioned in the end as a comparison to that argument, "hopefully any new material Spor puts out won't be of a similar nature", as in hopefully it won't be weaker and boring

In the meantime, I ask you to please provide a better example of electro-dub-house-glitch to ensure that I see how this would be rated against it's peers. And rating it against anything released on mau5trap won't/didn't work, as those are each just one element of the music I just heard on this EP.

I hope you don't think that if I can't you'll expect my rating to change. I don't have to compare him to anyone to tell you that what he's produced on this ep is good, and nothing more. Parts of it are great and others are boring, but this apparent revolution of "mixing elements of house, electro, glitch, and dubstep" can be treated as being uninspired without needing to compare it to anyone

Plus I'm pretty sure Skrillex is/has been on mau5trap

I say again though, who is confused?

Be grateful that Spor's neurofunk output hasn't suffered as a result.

And yesterday he finally released this:

Track's been around for awhile (as you can tell by the upload date of the video) but he just released the ep. Saw this coming a mile away

i've always wondered why he would take on a completely different form as feed me rather than simply releasing a house album as spor. he would definitely consolidate a larger fanbase as a single artist

Because Spor is his drum & bass project. Rather than face the ire of his fans he just decided to create another moniker for himself so he could use that as an outlet for his more commercial stuff

It's the same reason why Noisia separate all their releases

but ire is just jamaican for chilling so how can that be a bad thing? (source: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ire )

to a certain extent i understand why someone would sidestep some negative attention, but as one entity he'd have a wider appreciation for his music as a whole and therefore have greater access to major studio resources, so i don't really get it. i know a few people that really dig feed me that have never even heard of spor.
