Been jamming a lot of trio lately but haven't heard any of Dan's solo stuff. Gonna give this a listen tonight and I'm sure I'll love it because Dan rules

nice rating for Peace, Quiet and Monsters, I wish every Alk3 fan could be forced to listen to those songs. Derek has some killer solo stuff too

yea everything dan has put out solo is fantastic I just wish Derek got to actually fucking sing in alkaline trio sometimes if dont say you wont is any indication. breakdown is okay



matt has a handful of cool stuff too outside of alk3 tbh. the split with kevin seconds is probably the best of it, but i fuck with both heavens and thehell hard too

check the Derek/Dan Cribb split on his bandcamp, all of Derek's side is incredible and better than Breakdown for sure. needs some songs on their next album agreed



don't dig theHELL at all, big disappointment. that split is classic tho and The Sekrets albums go pretty good

the sekrets are alright. first album has a couple songs i really dig but overall the albums kind of flat. kuts is better but i don’t come back much



ill be sure to check the split i do fuck with derek’s voice hard his backing vox basically make the suicide machines for me

I actually thought Kuts was worse tbh, handful of good tunes on that one but nothing outstanding. Babylon and the Heavens album have some absolute jams but overall he has the weakest solo stuff outside of the Kevin split tbh

Man "this light" is one of my favorites on the first listen. But i'm a sucker for sappy acoustic tunes

Nevermind. this light is just a worse version of the rest of the album

yeah i think im at the point where im getting more out of this than the whole alkaline trio discog (and thats no small feat as it has been endlessly documented how much i love that band lol)
