"Stockholm's cold, but I've been told, I was born to endure this kind of weather;" I really like this line on Emmylou. And as a Swede I can but not, relate.

Yeah that line struck me as pretty cool too actually, though obviously I can't relate to it on any level haha.

Hehe. It's not really that cold where I live now (around 32 F) but it's still feels like it's
goddamned freezing outside. I think back of last year when it was like 10 F which is supposed to be
goddamned freezing! 32 F should be nothing!
"Don't make no mistakes, and don't regret, don't waste the time that is left, and then do it all with
a goddamn smile." That line on "In the hearts of men" also sticks out for me. And especially in the
whisper like way they sing "smile". It sounds spiteful, it's just awesome.

What are the TOP 3 songs i gotta listen to on this album?
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.0
Tough question, since the whole record is consistently excellent.
I'd say 'Emmylou' (my personal favourite), 'Blue' (best upbeat song) and 'New Year's Eve' (best downbeat song).
If you like those I'd seriously recommend giveing the whole record a shot, it rules.

the fact that they completely capture americana and are swedish is amazing

the fact the main singer is not attractive at all yet i can't look away from her amazes me. i'm not even trying to be funny, so much talent.

Folk music ain't usually my cup of tea (album's more country-folk-pop), but this is one of the best albums I've heard so far this year. The harmonies are excellent; an suitable Sunday afternoon listen.
