I would argue though that it's tough to balance writing a digestible amount of words with backing everything up. The longer the review, the less willing anyone is to read it, even if it's a band they enjoy, especially with some of the ADD cases on this site (not referring to anybody in this thread though no worries haha)
You're right about the personal pronoun though, might try just re-writing those quickly.
You can look at any reviews I've written though, they hover between 3-5. I gave New Normal a 4.5/5, so the trolling accusations aren't really backed up themselves.

EDIT: i would fix this...if sputnik even let me past the "edit my reviews/albums" page without sending me an error page...

Understand where you're coming from man, but this album's great. A lot of people didnt like the more slick approach to this album, but if you read into the process behind making this album, the recording of it is essentially what killed the band.
The New Normal's by far the best album to come out of the whole Butterfly Effect/Karnivool/DLC/progressive bogancore clusterfuck, so it was never going to beat it. But Sharing Space is still fricking great.
If I were you, i'd get onto the Just Visiting EPs. They have more intensity than The New Normal, just with slightly worse production quality and songwriting.

That's interesting Vool, I heard though that the two EPs are really different from each other, that true? Lol at "progressive bogancore clusterfuck" great description =P

Just Visiting Part 1 features some of Cog's best work, its quite heavy in places. Very Tool influenced.
Part 2's a little more mellow and stretched out. A bit more trippy, but the two EP's arent that different i dont think. Neither of the EP's have much of a commercial aspect, nowhere near as accessible as the albums.
Part 1 has one of my favourite Cog songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eRIN-2C2iQ
You'll like it, given you like The New Normal more.
