Great review. I have the same kind of lukewarm appreciation for this as I now do for most of Green Day's post-AI material; I outgrew them but something clicks inside of me when I hear their music that makes me like it to the point of being "average."

Excellent review, very well stated. To me the album is book ended by decent songs, and everything between is about as forgettable and trite as it gets (and in some cases utterly terrible ie. "Kill the DJ"). I didn't expect a lot after 21st Century, but definitely more than this.
