I think I feel the same as you. Not about this album (I do like it a lot though), but about the very nature of reviewing. What makes music so special is its ability to lift you to the heights and depths of emotion. It can lift you out of depression when nothing else you can. It's an intensely personal experience. It's not something that can really be argued. If someone connects with a piece of music, but you simply don't 'get' it, then they're going to have a near-impossible time arguing its worth. Approaching the task with even a hint of objectivity is bullshit...

I quit reviewing for similar reasons.
