woah i did not even realize the concept there. you've just added another reason for me to like this album. i like grand stories and things in albums, and i think what you've pointed out is quite interesting. nice review. i really like this record, but i haven't heard turn on the bright lights yet. This Message Edited On 03.18.06

You should, that album is brilliant, and more well-crafted as a whole...

TotBL is better for individual tracks

this is better as a body of tracks

I don't know about that... TotBL is a stronger album IMO, because the tracks flow better and it's got a little concept of it's own. The album's divided into two parts, the poppier side, which begins with it's near instrumental, Untitled, and then goes into Obstacle 1. The second half has it's near instrumental in Hands Away and then goes into Obstacle 2. It's interesting and it works.

I know, but their albums were recorded in a studio in Connecticut, above what used to be an autistic children's hospital. I'm gonna go check it out over break, it must be a pretty nice studio.

I really enjoy this album. Evil is a fabulous song. When I listen to this album it just seems to meld. I don't know if that's a pro or con.

And A Time To Be So Small is my favorite song on this album. Slow Hands comes close.

I think my fave is a tie between Public Pervert and C'mere.

C'mere is great, but Public PErvert gets owned by Carlos D's remix of it. AV8RS, Slow Hands is crap.

The best are A Time To BE So Small and Evil.
