They're a mediocre band that released 1 classic and a few other good records, but the majority of their material is worse than it is good.
You still love them regardless, as they're your most played artist -- at least according to Last.fm -- and you get defensive (mad?) as hell when someone talks bad about them (their good albums), or when someone calls you a fanboy.

You still love them regardless, as they're your most played artist -- at least according to Last.fm They were always in the top 10 most played but reviewing two of their albums back-to-back pushed them way over the top (it doesn't hurt that their new one is finally good again). I get defensive when people say stupid shit that begins with them taking their opinion on a band as fact.
