If they invited me to join the band for some reason, I would literally drop everything and go live with them.

Yes! Also, whatever happened to that auxiliary percussion girl that would always harmonize with Kyle? She's totes out of the band these days. As well as the cello player.

Woah, cool to see so many reviews for this one (compared to their past albums). If this is your first foray into TYPHOON, I highly recommend, nay DEMAND you listen to their earlier albums listed here. They are so phenomenal.
And for the bio, I don't remember where I first read it, but as soon as I did I know I had to put it up here. It's awesome

Morton's Fork is so powerful. My favorite track by a long-shot on an album full of stunning tracks.

I love the refrain on that song: "We're all alone in this together, all alone in this together..."
"Possible Deaths" is a perfect follow-up to it, too. I love the balance between shorter songs and longer ones on this album.

Oh yeah. I was just going to try to make a comment on a song, but I couldn't pick one because the entire album is all equally up there in the heavens for me.

yay! just out of curiosity, what are your other two? this is my number one but the upcoming
65daysofstatic album will likely give it a run for its money (also, if you like this, I would
recommend you check out Morningbell's Boa Noite. it's just as grand but has a chilled-out vibe i'm
fond of)
btw the ratings for this album are hilarious. we have eight perfect 5 ratings, with seven 4.5s and one
outlier who still rated it a 3.5. how is this not getting more attention?

Needs to explode on sputnik.
Great use of the horn section on artificial light.
Also the review is good but a bit to long and pretentious.

hey, welcome to the family! if you don't mind my asking, though, which parts of my review strike you
as pretentious? I actually worried that I wasn't going deep enough, but I would love to hear your
opinion.

"hey, welcome to the family! if you don't mind my asking, though, which parts of my review strike you as pretentious? I actually worried that I wasn't going deep enough, but I would love to hear your opinion."
Sure. Don't get me wrong I liked the review. But the whole bit's about Frankl and tragic optimism were to much in my opinion.

I'll look into that morningbell rec, thanks. This band kind of reminds me of Frightened rabbit. My other top albums are probably james blake and streetlight manifesto right now.
