If every song had the melody of Palace or Revisited, I'd easily 5 this too. In its experimentation it loses some of its accessibility at times, though.

Fromtheinside - You'll like it more than Hospice but less than Burst Apart. It's more melodic than the former but not as interesting musically as the latter.

For me, I think it's better than Burst Apart, despite BA having one of my favorite songs by them (Putting the Dog to Sleep). It feels more cohesive and the response to it is just as polarizing as I expected. It's rich in atmosphere. By far one of the most compelling releases this year, but I can see how it would be divisive for some.

Great review. This album is perhaps the biggest example of a grower I've ever heard.

Also, how has no one said anything about "Parade" yet? That song is incredible.

idk what you all see in this to be honest. some songs are pretty great, especially palace, which is at least 10 times better than anything else, but overall it's tedious, trite, monotonous - those horns always sound the same, the songs are slow and dull
