I don't get why people call Fallujah technical. I mean, it's not like it's to play, but it's not tech-death. Not in style, not in sound, not in the technicality of the riffs. It reminds me of how Arsis are "like Necrophagist", something I never understood.

Anyway, this album is pretty awesome.

^^ I was just thinking about that the other day. How Fallujah is considered tech-

death. But listening to them beside other bands I've been digging lately like

Nechrophagist, Obscura, and these guys, Fallujah just doesn't fit. Make you wonder

how that classification works in their case.

To me Fallujah fit in with The Faceless and maybe Arkaik (who are admittedly more more tech-deathy) as a new little group in death metal that like the melodic qualities of a really synthesized sound and use for a spacey/cosmic sound. And, yeah, it's not simple, but I see it as separate from tech-death. Maybe it'll have a name in a year or two.

Jack I agree with you, though maybe it should be pointed out that part of why people do this lumping together is that there are literally SO MANY bands that are guilty sinning in overtechnicality. This is a great example of what you can get though, absurd and intense but pretty dynamic and clearly trying to do something. They've really been impressing me with their past few discs.

Redistribution of Filth massively rules. Id wish they made more tracks like that. And watching this band playing live is massive fun too.

Yeah it's all about fun and crazy drumming+riffage, from what I gathered from the interviews they are not some douchy pretentious bullshit spewers like Litourgy or w/e, just some crazy guys with fast fingers willing to play some metal.
