But we should bear in mind that they kind of stopped being very power metally after Reckoning Night

Good point, after unia they embraced other shit, still in pariah child there are more power metal elements that in unia and the other 2 albums which were mediocre as hell

Unia was good man, what you on about? I loved the newfound experimental approach to songwriting on that

The Days of Grays grew a lot on me though, I consider it their most emotional effort post Reckoning Night. The solo in "Nothing More" is probably one of my favorite moments in music ever, it gives me goosebumps.

I like unia, I just said they embraced other sounds, love caleb, the harvest and more. days and stones were the mediocre ones

I've only heard Flag from days but i didn't like it one bit. Stones was so damn average that it hurts and i wish they built on the efforts made in Unia. Another In Black and White would have been good

TDoG was a grower, I didn't liked it too at first. Personally, I recommend to give it a chance (which

means more than one spin, probably).

I did a SA marathon soon after joining Sputnik (I'm still listening again to my library to give it a rating and see if something can grow), otherwise I would probably still be disliking TDoG (except for "Nothing More" which really stunned me at first listen).

I don't know, I've kind of outgrown them apart from the albums i'm familiar with so i'm a bit scared to have a marathon now. I suppose i'll do it when I feel really nostalgic

Yeah haha I did them so soon because while playing iTunes on shuffle I got "Kingdom for a Heart" and "Silver Tongue" one after the other and I got in SA mood.

My favorite SA definitely. At the moment I'd say my three favorites here are The Cage, The Ruins of My Life and The Rest of the Sun Belongs to Me

This album has the reputation of being too meek compared to the ones that surround it, and I used to feel the same way too. However it's really just an appearance, outside of The Misery, Broken and Draw Me (killer vox here!) all the other songs hit just as hard as all the other pre-Unia material. Gravenimage starts slowly too but then it picks up, and you can add another speedy power ride if you count The Rest of the Sun too (and I do, because it's placed inside the tracklist as track 9).

Gonna defend this one (ง'̀-'́)ง
