this is petty solid. it's not as impressive as you're a woman but mostly because it's just more of the same. it doesn't go quite as hard but idgaf it still jams.

Having experienced their pink album, and having launched a stranded petition to bring them back from hiatus, Jesse and Sebastien might have adapted a slight contemporary independent influence, which will lead to debates, they have maintained their spastic dance garage thrash me(n)tality. Coming from someone who had no idea who this band was 10 years ago and has no emotional connection whatsoever to DFA 1979's first album, this album slays.
I don't care if it "doesn't hit quite as hard" as their old stuff.....it hits a hell of a lot harder than 90% of the trash that passes for "rock n roll" this side of 2010.
I'll take this over the newest Foo Fighters garbage any day.
