What I've heard of this I enjoyed way more than Fever and Temper, but it was still kind of bland. I saw them opening for Slipknot about two weeks ago and they just seemed kinda sad. They've become a nostalgia act.

Yeah the way every song starts gets really annoying over the course of an album. Once or twice is fine but every track? Nah.

Becomes before you're done listening through it for the first time.

Thought this was the cover for the new Trivium album for a second.

^ I always used to get the two mixed up, probably because I never cared for either of them even in my emo phase.

For what it's worth there's more thrash too, I think they're trying to remind fans of Scream, Aim, Fire.

I was a fan when they debuted. This is the first thing I've enjoyed from them since Scream, Aim, Fire.

This obviously isn't very good but compared to their last album this is a fucking godsend.
Good review as always Talons.

I don't really get it. Most people though Poison was good. They've gone from metalcore, to thrash, to heavy metal, to hard rock, and now they've returned to the early sound. Yet they're stagnating?
A couple of those changes have failed - Temper being the obvious example - but this album has them return to form. Disappointing to see a low score, but they're easy to hate on, so here we are.
IMO this is almost, but not quite as good as their debut.
