I might actually listen to this.. But I really have to be in a special mood to listen to this type of music

The band is weird as hell... But the more I listen to it the more I realize the amazing talent that these guys have. I don't find them very appealing music-wise, but the drumming, guitar and vocals are insane!

The 21 minute length pretty much turned me off from buying this, and it's something I can't listen to even if I wanted, but I agree on the 5/5. I heard their old stuff's a bit better though.

How do you agree with a 5/5 if you find it unlistenable and not worth buying?

Ooh, like the sound of these guys lol!
Remind me a bit of Mr. Bungle by the sound of things. Never heard of them but I think I'll CHECK 'EM OUT!!!
Frankly, I'd buy an album with a song called "Anything Jesus can do, I can do Better" if it was by a band I despised.

Mr. Bungle and The Locust are miles apart. But frankly, they're closer compared to say...Tina Turner?

Starting on Turner???
Kidding, kidding! Mr. Bungle and The Locust are both pretty experimental bands.
You're right about the Tina Turner thing though D.

the locust are one of the best grindcore bands, nuff said. Oh and grindcore is much more than sucking in a good way, it takes talent to play as fast as most grindcore songs play.

Listening to the crust/grind hour on college radio says otherwise.

Geez I could never get into these. Then after realising I had 'The Half Eaten Sausage...' on repeat by accident for 20 mins, I kinda started to notice things. They do grow on you, so I'll check out a few other songs and see what I think any recommendations?

Somebody I used to know was really into this, and made me watch a video of one of their songs, where it had a grasshopper, that went to hell, was dissected, and came back a grasshopper tank...
To bad I was too busy trying to figure what the f*** the music was about to actually see what the whole grasshopper thing was about.
These guys are wayyyyyyy to out there for me.

If there were words to describe this album other than "plague soundscapes", they would probably be "total insanity".

... i disagree, i think that by the sound of these songs you can tell that they put a lot of time and effort into the cd. the locust did a good job releasing a really good 23 track album.
