I've stopped trying to like this album. It just flat out sucks. I'm sorry. This might be pretty if it were purely instrumental, but the vocals are atrocious. I've tried to overlook them, but they're too high in the mix. Listening to this is like sitting in a classroom in a beautiful, sunny meadow where all I wanna do is see the meadow but the teacher holds the chalkboard in front of me and repetitively scrapes her fingernails across the chalkboard right in my ear.

Fran Drescher and Lois Griffin have voices pretty much everyone hates, but apparently this is loved? It sounds like one of the two singing over pretty instrumentals lol.. Oh hell, know what. It's basically them singing together at the same time. While on Broadway showing Wicked.
I'm surprised a cover of "Popular" isn't on this album.

Okay this is fucking weird and I don't know if I can get into this. I really enjoyed the new album by Julia Holter as it was positively serene.
This one has just some... really quirky qualities. Her vocals aren't bad, they're just... different.
For some reason I can see her doing music similar to Simon & Garfunkel.

I loved her vocals the very first time I jammed Ys, but maybe I'm just weird
|
| |
Having jammed Ys once, I liked her vox, but it's not like they're my fave.
|
| |
im not too big on her vocals, but they're gorgeous when she's more subdued like on Goose Eggs

her singing on The Milk-Eyed Mender is so unrefined, but i love her vocals on that album too.
