So this is good, but they've just taken the formula from tales and made it less adventurous. Reminds me of what symphony x did with iconoclast a bit. Sucks that the bass and keyboards have been subdued more

I agree with Omair. This is a fun album, very enjoyable while you're listening to it. But the lasting value is really low (funny, said the same thing about Kalmah's first album, which I just reviewed). Tales of the Sands is heavier, more interesting and more memorable.

I think this a more linear and distilled version of Tales. I was hoping they'd push their sound further, but they got even more comfortable with their new sound. It's a good album, but a little formulaic for Myrath imo.
