Feels like so many pans of this record, not just this one, are backward looking critical reappraisals of Japandroids in general. "Nothing must has changed here". Have you heard the record? In what world does like, "North South East West" sound like something this band would have done in 2009? It's one thing to not like the direction they're taking here, but to write this album off as a Celebration Rock rejiggering feels lazy.
