Imagine if Bambu had survived to completion...honestly I know many of the tracks were nearly done and got released a while back as part of the POB deluxe edition, but it's still something to think about

Also how ridiculous is it that the closest any other solo Beach Boy came to replicating this in terms of quality was Brian's re-recording of Smile

Aren’t they dioing a vinyl press of both this and Bambu this year?

that'd be news to me, although POB was done by Music on Vinyl a few years ago and Bambu was done by Sony for RSD last year

proper reissues of both, no gimmicks attached, would be highly welcomed provided it's done with respect to Dennis

however, since I have a promo of this and the RSD of Bambu (which was, in turn, a replacement for my old Bamboo bootleg that had rough takes from the album, one of which ended with Dennis inquiring about getting a stiffy)

Guessing this is just going to be a re-pressing of the 3-LP sets they released in '08, they evidently didn't manufacture too many of them considering used copies are going for a solid $70-$100 now

that'd be weird since Sundazed didn't do the Bambu reissue

True but also I'm not sure what else they could offer to make this an enticing release, since the Bambu sessions are basically an album's worth of bonus tracks and there's really nothing else worth releasing from that time period AFAIK

This is all assuming the re-release rumor is actually legit of course
