i mean, its not like their lyrics have ever been anything near intelligent. But i thought the same thing at first until i paid attention to the rest of the lyrics. A curse from a witch doctor forces the character to say vulgar things constantly. So he makes a plan to get a crew together and shove their anchor up the witch doctors ass, metaphorically or literally, i dont know. In context, i think it works. It is undoubtedly stupid, but that seems to be the point.

The "for Dogs" bonus disc is at the same time the best and worst idea ever.

so i take back what ive said before about not being able to listen to a whole album my them, the first album at least seems to have some consistent musicianship. They really made a mistake sticking with the pirate theme after the first album though, because now theyre stuck with it forever. If they did something different early on they would have been free to expand on themes a little

The first album is definitely their most "serious" and probably has the best song writing out of the bunch. I'd also personally recommend Back Through Time as well as to me that's their most fun from front to back
