Fuuuck me, this is monstrous. A deathcore album that's using actual riffs, varied vocals, beefy bass, breakdowns aren't abused... why isn't anyone else doing this?
They even did a fake-out at the end of "Embracing Nocturnal Damnation" where it feels like it's going lead to a cliche breakdown but it doesn't. I'm shook.

Haven't listened to this yet, but I agree that I'd be very surprised if the rating stays that high. Never liked early Contortionist, but this sounds better.
