Never really heard much from this dude, but he had a cool voice and pretty competent flow. Very sad he got murdered considering he was transitioning away from that street life and encouraging younger kids to do the same.

This is a fucking awful take lmao

Welcome to the Party was huge way before Dior thats what got him noticed in the first place. Man was signed to Pusha T and collabing with 50 Cent, he was THE guy carrying the entirety of the NY Drill movement which has since slowed way the fuck down now that he's gone. Pop Smoke was all set for a mainstream debut whether or not he died, his death just accelerated it.

You got the same trash ass take for Nip too huh?

Dior had about 20-30 million streams on YouTube before he passed, no offense Stein but “streams” means Spotify/Apple Music and Spotify/Apple Music is for pussies and not based #youtubepremiumgang4L

Anyway if you really couldn't see that Pop was on the cusp of blowing up nationwide then you just out of touch. He was getting so much play everywhere its just kind of useless to act like he wouldn't have blown up. If you didnt know who Pop was before he died you just weren't paying attention.

Also one more thing. Future's verse on Snitchin is the best thing he's done this year by far

Pop might not of been a household name in like Minnesota or wisconsin but in ny and I would say LA, Chicago and Atlanta he certainly was, and to this day nipseys actual music is not household mainstream by any means, but he was certainly a celebrity based off of a)his activism, b)selling his mixtape physically for 100$ back in the day as a marketing scheme and c) bagging Lauren London, (not to disregard his definitee fame in California and elsewhere but his music was never THATubiquitous imo). But I see what you saying

Jeff I suggest you do some research on hip hop before talking about it so boldly. People knew who nipsey hussle was. Maybe not always for his music but everyone knew the name.

bro FBG Duck just died, shot down in broad daylight on one of the safest cities in Chicago, his music has not blown up because he died. Instead, he's just another Chciago rapper that nobody will talk about in a decade. Death only brings you this level of remembrance if you were already bubbling and people were already talking about you.

Like Nipsey Hussle was GRAMMY NOMINATED. That isn't small bro
