"It's not the same type of clean sections and atmosphere. There's more blast beat type of metal happening here that Hopesfall doesn't really do either."

The comparisons are strictly about old hopesfall and the screaming style, one of the songs on the second half of this album is exactly like the vocalist Doug from Hopesfall's No Wings To Speak of EP

Love seeing people enjoy this album so much! It's quite a success of an album!

Which song was that? Very familiar with that EP, and didn't hear much that reminded me of it. I saw the rec on the side for that EP. I think it's a good album. Ultimately I felt pretty exhausted by the end of it.

listening to this again and i forgot that i also get the same overall feeling that something epic is happening much like a No Wings to Speak of album. Not even to do with specific sounds but moreso the songwriting style and then a lot of the noodling guitar parts that are so thin and lucid also remind me of No Wings

Need to get into their earlier stuff immediately. Haven't heard a single song. I think I like the album cover for this as much as the album itself.

Really digging this thus far. Spacey textures, dreamy vocals, great artwork. Good stuff.

Very nice short review Storm, easy pos. I really like this album and it grows on me w/each listen. It's a very genuine album, I just think the post- elements are a bit too familiar to what we've been hearing the last few years of it being a more prominent influence in metal/hardcore.

Thank you spirit! The bit too familiar part you mention is what makes me wonder if it will go down for me, but at the same time it could grow on me for the same reason!
