Avril may be the better vocalist, but I think the songwriting/lyrics are generally better on this.

Everyone too young to remember Exile in Guyville loved that song. It, and the album, got mercilessly panned by critics at the time. I kind of get it. It probably sounded a bit like Kurt Cobain performing a Sum-41 song, or Chris Cornell trying some smooth R&B.
