i feel like those are some of the more pervading influences. band has a penchant for shifting/overlapping styles on a dime, going from grind to pop to blackened hxc to the most beautiful post rock passage you've ever heard in the matter of a few moments, it feels like. really wanna 5 this

haha i can understand that. i guess as someone who grew up as a child of the internet, it evokes a sense of wistful nostalgia for me. that sound was the precursor to me dumping thousands upon thousands of hours into screens, for better or worse.

I think you did a great job on the review Sam. This album is a wild ride chock full of fantastic moments. It's far too schizophrenic for me to enjoy a steady diet of though.
