Wow the first three songs are stunning and occasionally sound a bit different for them, then the middle ones are good and pretty standard Slowdive, then the last two are excellent. Probably right around the quality of s/t, they’ve done it again.

Let’s get right to it, this is a really great album, the fact that Slowdive was able to retain there sound but expand on it while making it more cohesive and accessible is just an incredible feat. Everything you love about this band is here just a bit more sprinkled throughout. Looks like I’ll have to see them live now !!!

opener sets the bar sky high, the rest of the tracks don't come close to touching it

Haha.
If the opener is amazing and the album has Kisses, Skin In the Game and The Slab on it then it’s clearly going to be well worth a listen.

Yeah this opener kills it

Better than their self titled - I just wish Neil’s initial ideas had been a more dominant force with the album. Stripping away the more electronic elements was a shame. But I’m loving this album. And after all these years to be able to say that some of their best tracks are on this album is plenty enough.
