I sold Owen to a friend as "emo Bill Callahan" lol. He just has such a distinct, unmistakable voice. Album is very nice.

Finally finished it. Really immaculate atmosphere, I'm a sucker for it every time, but it didn't really hold up to a focused, analytic listen for me. It had more than a few moments where I was leaning my head to some interesting tones and hooks, though. For that, it's above the Avalanche imo

@PTRKoulou I've only heard this and "at home with" by this project, any others you recommend?

@neekafat haven't listened to his whole discography yet, but i'm a big fan of Ghost Town and Avalanche, so I'd recommend them.
Still, I don't think he's an album artist exactly, imo, some songs are amazing, others are ok, and generally Mike doesn't deviate noticably from his usual formula. For that reason I'd say that Falls of Sioux is probably the most refreshing of his efforts in a while. So you might as well try listening to random songs, if that's your thing.

I’ve got a few songs left on my first listen, but this is easily my least favourite album of his so far. It sounds so stale and predicable, then the moments where he tries to stray sound forced or just uninspired from what his status quo once was.
