Spawn01 to Nematode was defs the run for me, but Coral Mimic has since graduated as the point where it all kicks off. find myself losing interest thereafter, but that chunk at least has solid replay value
and no, haven't heard his ambient(?) stuff? will peep

Loved Spawn01, yeah that middle section is fucking great
I really liked Neo Wax Bloom, especially the song Bug Thief, but this one feels more cohesive as an album

Great contribution to minimalist art. It's amazing what can be done with nothing more than beats and bells and whistles, some processed vocals, "hiphopian phrasing" and seaweed.

"song-writing choices often prioritising show-off production techniques over progression worth the remebrance" probably the most off-base take i could imagine for this ngl

I'm excited to dive into this. I LOVED Neo Wax Bloom... maybe my favorite electronic release of the 2010s? So many bangers, great pacing, completely singular sound. If anything I think it's highly underrated.
In comparison, most of his output since has been underwhelming -- he went sleepy and atmospheric. Always admired the intent, but the replay value wasn't there compared to Neo Wax Bloom.
Sounds like he got back to making stuff that hits harder here.
