Good album cover and bloody good album. Criminally under rated imo

Combined with those underrated B-sides, this could have been their white album.

This isn't anywhere near as bad as people think. The first half apart from Annie slaps so hard.

Rubin really did Josh dirty on this album. Why did they even bother bringing him in if they never wanted him to contribute creatively or even be heard on the record.

The band in general did him dirty. I'm honestly kinda pissed that he was on this record in the first place... the entire album is absolutely insulting to his talents, as well as to the band's legacy as a whole

I read one of Flea's interviews where he was saying that with John they don't have to talk about creative choices unlike how it was with Josh and I was absolutely disappointed with the state of the band. You bring in someone new, but you don't at all want to pick his mind creatively because you are too comfortable doing the same shit you've done before. No intent to challenge yourselves creatively. At their age, that is a really poor mindset to have which explains the snoozefest that is UL which is comfortably the worst thing they've done in almost 40 years.
