I'm debating getting their new CD with the new singer, but i'm kinda reluctant because I didn't like the single too too much.

The music on Dark Passion Play destroy any other album they've done. As for the vocals....I am so used to them now that they don't bug me. I guess that what happens when you've heard the album since June, lol.

Recently attained off of Itunes, quite impressed so far. Dark Passion Play was my first Nightwish album, so I'm already used to Annette's vocals. I'm pretty sure I like this better though, I cant designate anything as filler, while I could pick out a few songs on DPP that I didnt like.

The whole Nightwish discography is amazing quite frankly.

So true. While I rated Dark Passion Play a 5 as well, Cadence of Her Last Breath does absolutely nothing for me. This is musical perfection though.

Cadence of Her Last Breath is very enjoyable to me. Sahara just drags on way too much, and in Master Passion Greed Marco just sounds pissed off. Whoever Brings the Night is average.

out of the 3 n/wish albums i have (oceanborn, dark passion play and once) this is by far the best... i hope people forget about tarja cuz the new singer aint doin too bad... (expecting a lotta hate for sayin that)

This is the worst from Tarja era in my opinion. They started dropping the power metal and the operatic vocals which is what originnaly got me into them so I was miffed. Century Child is amazing and you should check it out if you like Once. I'm going to get some slack from Poet but this still has plenty of great songs though. Personally, Oceanborn is my top nod. Best guitarwork and the keyboards were brilliant. Every song stood out to me and Tarjas vocal performance was the best i've heard. This Message Edited On 04.20.08

lol Balls. I love Oceanborn, but Swanheart is just ok for me on there. This has no flaws at all. People hate I Wish I Had An Angel, but I think it's a good transition between Dark Chest of Wonders and Nemo.

Have you heard Angels Fall First?

Good call Mr Pendulum. It's funny, a week ago I was going to buy it and then completely forgot about it. I retract my first line from my last statement, Angels Falls First from what i've heard is the most unstable album vocally, due to the young age and Tuomas shit vocals obviously. The verse from I wish I had an angel was cool, but the rest grabbed me in the wrong way.

I think I may be one of the only people on earth that liked Tuomas's vocals, lol. Even he has said he didn't like them that much.

They aren't very good. But it doesn't matter considering their debut has a bunch of awesome tracks regardless.
