you see its the opposite for me, i thought the ambient droning parts on safety second were really cool and i thought it'd be cool to see them expand on that, but for some reason new erections sounds like something they wrote in half a day for some money. its too simple and predictable IMO
i love plague soundscapes because of the subtle things going on that you can't really hear at first that prove it is very meticulous, well thought out music. you can even hear jazz influences at times. i think its beautiful how complicated it is, the way it just bursts out, f*cks the shit out of your brain and doesn't call back.

a truly amazing album from one of the most hated (for a bad reason) bands out there.
oh and i used to think the title was just immature. but now i see its meaning. the skyscrapers are like societies erections.
