you are talking out your ass when you say they are metalcore. just because they throw a breakdown in there does not make them metalcore. there are plenty of death metal bands that incorporate breakdowns. generally just the new wave of death metal, but still.
these guys have hardcore music with some death metal inspired vocals

No, they are metalcore with growling vocals.

You of all people should know they aren't, for shame.
Bjorn is a much capable vocalist then Oli will ever be.
I'm gonna say this very bluntly: I know a lot more than you do on every subject we've argued thus far, and now we're on the subject of screaming, which I'm probably most knowlegable on, please stfu.
Bjorn's vocals are touched up to hell in studio, and they still sound like ass. Oli on the other hand sounds identical live. Oli's also a much more vaired vocalist.
Also you're arguing with people who enjoy Soilwork.
I don't like Soilwork. I haven't thought any of their albums were ever better than a 3.

Whatever man, this will go nowhere. If BMTH floats your boat then fine I guess. At least you back up your points unlike Zimbabwe for example. However, Oli won the dick move of the year with that piss+ bottle+ girl= bam.

Discussion like this should be taken to the forums though.

they are hardcore punk if anything. you cannot in any way call minor threat a straight up hardcore band. they have way too much punk roots.
BMTH consider themselves hardcore. we are talking abt a 20 year difference in music. 20 years ago black sabbath was considered heavy metal. i mean c'mon now they are just classic rock.

they are hardcore punk admit it. everyone else who has ever heard of minor threat knows they are hardcore PUNK. i'm not pulling it out of my ass, it is a fact. get your facts straight. then i'll stop posting. k, good

Stop trying to be condescending. Hardcore was a style that built off punk, therefore the "punk" label is extraneous. So, like I said, you're an idiot; stop posting.

I'm getting tried of this genre controversy shit. I don't care, really. Either you like it or you don't.
get your facts straight.
You're saying that to Cocaine? You must have a death wish.

I second what zooyorker6 said. Who gives a fuck what genre it is? I hate this album, and not because it's melo-death, or metalcore, I hate it because I just...do.
|
| |
I think these guys suck as well, but people can't go around saying LOL SHITTY METALCORE or blaming it on a genre. A shitty album is a shitty album. Just because you favour a genre (ie: melodeath) doesn't mean you can't acknowledge a style within it that you personally think is shit.
People labelling things as metalcore because they're insecure is not an excuse, nor is it correct.
