not sure how this works for your shipping chages, but you can mailorder it off Denovali.

Oh ya forgot about Denovali. They're located in Germany right? Perfect for Western Europeans.
|
| |
yeah, they should be good for the UK.
i've ordered from them a few times because they've put out a few exclusive releases, really nice guys but German shipping to the United States is just ridiculous. costs alot, and usually takes a month or two to get here. should work well for you though Grimbo.
on another note, i'm still really, really enjoying this. drumming on Trilogy 2 is great. they've really matured alot from "Our LP..."

Well most US bands that put out stuff through Denovali use that for vinyl releases or Europe releases and then have a different release label in the US.
Glad you're liking this album.

yea, i guess there's been a few exceptions. i wanted the euro press of the Daitro/SNS split, and the guy at Denovali hooked me up with a Kidcrash "Jokes" trans red when PPS was sold out.

whats the deal with the vocalist in this band? does one of the guitarists just do vocals?
|

so fucking good.

Sean plays guitars and does vocals. I have to say that I ****ing love this record. I'm biased, yes. Sean and I have bee friends for a very long time. He asked me to record Loma Prieta and I jumped at the chance. Knowing that, you should know how many times I've listened to these songs over and over and over... I still love this record and will put it on whenever.... even when going to sleep. It makes me happy. I wanna thank Nick Greer for the comments he made about the production. I think this record turned out really well and I'm STOKED to have been a part of it.

Hey man, it's always good to see people involved with an album post here. Thanks for commenting. Also, I saw these guys in Oakland two Thursday ago and it was fun. Sean broke a string so they stopped playing which was lame but it was nice to finally see them live. Ghastly City Sleep was great too. My friend took pictures but they only came out okay.

oh snap son, you were at that show in oakland as well? ghastly city sleep had a crazy set up- really quality performance. I left after they played, but what did you think of litany for the whale? It was my first time hearing them and i was feeling it.
As for Last City - it is definitely a good cd, its a little bit repetitive scream-wise and the feedback kills a lot of moments for me (I know they wanted to emulate brutal live sound, but it doesn't enhance my listening experience) Other than that I'm a big fan of the sound on everything and the guitar style.

Ya man. Loved GCS. I left after Loma Prieta because we had to drive back to the peninsula. Next time there's a show like this let me know and we'll talk irl.

The ending to Trilogy 1 is wonderful.

and it also sounds like something Thrice would do, which is win. (referring to Trilogy 1).

I love how this is so abrasive yet remains fluid and melodic.

this band sounds a lot like sailboats, if anybody has ever heard them. they only realeased a two song demo before they broke up though. they were ridiculously good. i think their bassist is in loma prieta now. anyway, this album is really good.

This album has some really amazing parts... and a lot of stuff that isn't so amazing or even impressive. Also, the fact that they sound like a noise band live kind of ruins it for me. And the bass player doesn't play anyof the chaotic parts live. He moves his hand around like he's playing parts, but it's just for show. And that actually wouldn't bother me if people didn't make this band out to be a group of amazing musicians. On that note, their drummer is one of the best drummers in punk.

I'm from Sydney so i don't get what all you guys are fighting about, but I've heard some Ampere and this album sounds nothing like them. This is one of the best things I've ever heard. A friend told me about it a few months ago and I've listened to this album every day non stop since. Some hardcore (or screamo or emo or post-hardcore whatever you want to call this music) can get really boring really quickly, but every song on this album seems really fresh and original with little touches like the piano part at the end of Trilogy 2 making it stand out (more Orchid than Ampere?).
