probably seems snobbish because hes not the typical shred guy. gilbert is supposed to be a pretty great teacher from what i have read, though i dont really care for his playing. as a technique coach though, he would be pretty handy to have.

yeah I've seen lessons, he preaches always having rhythm when soloing, which I like. Although it's ironic since he's just a mathematician with the guitar sometimes
