This album is an honest, thoughtful, and beautiful work of art.

Gave it a listen again. I don't think it's as good as you say it is...But I do think they have potential to make something really powerful and immaculate.

Yeah whatever they come out next could be just incredible. And I agree that this is a 4.5 so the next could be a classic.

this band is horrible live, i saw them in mobile at a church venue and they were all drunk. they had a terrible drummer fill in and they pulled the mars volta. you could barely tell what song they were trying to play.

it was embarrasing, i wanted my money back because i drove so far.

I thought their new song was okay. Not a fan of their old stuff. Are these guys even christians anymore? I seem to recall this album has some very un-christian like lyrics.

Thrice aren't a christian band. Dustin became a christian after Artist in the Ambulance, the rest of the band are not christians.

They are still Christians. A lot of the lyrics on this album seem that way, but they are really just dealing with things like doubt, and doubt is a pretty big part of being a Christian.

hate to burst your bubble, but they all are Christians. but they keep that out of their music, which is pretty much a good idea. so yeah thrice = secular/not christian

i've read in interviews that dustin and teppei are christians and riley and eddie aren't. it doesn't really matter but yeah

and all i know about that night when ACB was supposedly drunk was that all of them and lots of people that were there adamantly deny they were drunk.

Gave this a few re-listens and still can't get much out of it. Although I've bumped it up to a 3 because there are some good songs likes Tides and The Hoard.

I have a copy of Son I Loved You At Your Darkest that a friend burned for me, so I'm going to order that and Come Now Sleep from Amazon or Overstock. I really, really like As Cities Burn.

I guess they're post-hardcore, right? Well, a lot of post-hardcore vocalists (TDWP's back up guy and A Skylit Drive) have poor vocals anyways, but their screams don't come off as genuine or desperate. They come off as generic and loose. That's not the case with As Cities Burn's vocalist. My GOD he's good. He puts his soul into his music and you can hear that.
