His vocals sound forced and the tone of his voice is irritating. People give Jeff Loomis too much credit too, he's that good, especially when Chris Broderick is playing with them.

Thats weird to me Dane's tone is what makes him one of the most unique and emotional singers out there. To one his own I guess.

The band own - Loomis is incredibly underrated.

Unique band with each member knowing Exactly what their doing!



Dane's voice sounds forced... maybe it is! it's his style... can get annoying if the mood isn't right but why bash the guy because of it? most of the times I like to hear him!



Loomis is underrated? What about Van Williams behind the drum kit? Looks awfully easy doesn't it?



I liked Dead Heart In A Dead World better but the song This Godless Endeavor is probably one of my fav from them alongside Dreaming Neon Black.

Very nice review! Jeff loomis is a great guitar player and I've had the chance to see him play live twice, i even caught the pick he played the whole set with. I have few to brag about that with so i figured i would do it here, heheh

This album is such a fucking blast. I've had this one on constant rotation on my mp3 player. The album has amazingly grown on me. I think Politics of Ecstasy is a shade better than this, but this one rules face anyway. Great band.



And why does everyone hate the vocals? I played a song to my brother and he was like "lol those vocals are terrible." But I love them.

Solid album. The title song is incredibly epic.

great album. I definitely agree with Loomis being underrated, hard to single out any best song but if i had to i would choose Born, the chorus alone is worth the album IMO
