I like your review and explainations, but I think that this's different ground for you. Radiohead sure knew what they were doing. They had experimental knowledge-back-up and studio work is stunning and experimentalism is successful here. It may be weird to some people and original Radiohead fans may find it garbage, but now it gained new kind of fans and had more audience. This's a experimental rock masterpiece.

I like this review most. I like the album more than you did, but your paragraph about Kid A and The National Anthem summed up my thoughts perfectly.
I love OK Computer, and I love this album at its best, meaning:
EIIRP
How to Disappear
Optimistic (sort of)
Idioteque
Morning bell (sort of)
Motion Picture Soundtrack (sort of)
All those songs are good, and some of them are masterpieces.
But Kid A, National Anthem, Treefingers, and In Limbo are just far too poor for me to rate this album any higher than I have it, unless my opinion changes on them drastically. Kid A especially. Probably the worst title track ever.

The cohesiveness and overall theme of this album is unmatched anywhere in music, literally. That alone earns ita 4 rating with me.
... Then it was boosted to 5 based on how breathtakingly good it is, once you let it run its course on you. Definitely not music to pick single tracks from and listen to while driving or whatever.
Good effort in your review though! Even if it's different than our opinions.

"If nothing experimental ever turned out to be great, the world would be a pretty dull place"
Damn good quote!

A couple tracks work on their own, but it definitely works best in it's entirety.

How can possibly "Motion Picture Soundtrack" be a filler?. It makes no sense to make such calculated and complex album, and then throw "any" song to close the thing.

i agree with Trebor17, Kid A is more like a 54 minutes song.

These comments only show that there are lots of radiohead fanboys out there. I find this album terribly overrated. OK computer was a great album but this one is just a bad album disguised as an intelectual one. I wouldn't say that the guitarrist, for example, is the same as the one in OK computer and the bends
