Don't get me wrong, Anthems and Nightside are seminal, truly, but I think their sound has been built upon and done better since then (not very MANY times, mind you, but it has been done).

Listening to Goat Horns atm and getting this. Not liking Goat Horns that much on first listen though. Nothing is blowing me away yet.

"Ukraine" is such an awesome song.... goes from pure folk to a wailing guitar solo backed by double bass.... so good.

Kind of wish the vocals were insane as Lunar Poetry. They seem tame here.

The vocalist has aged more than ten years since then, and ten years on a vocalist who does a lot of screaming has effect on the power of his voice. The instruments and brilliant songwriting more than make up for the lack of punch in his harsh vocals.
