you misinterpreted my critique, sorry for saying "blah blah blah" but that really held no meaning, a little off-topic. My point, which I thought was clear, was about how personal your review was with the "I think"s and little actual substantiation.

examples of things that weaken your argument:
I find myself listening to this album strictly to hear Jesse Lacey
is what really sinks this album for me.
I feel they would elect Limousine as this album’s lyrical masterpiece
Initially, I completely agreed.
I liked it and its background story so much that I WANTED it to work
_____
also, half of your critique is about the lyrics of Limosuine and how they "don't work" lol... are you seriously trying to say that any lyrics that don't tell a coherent story are worthless. I mean seriously... I actually find vague, albeit well-written, lyrics to be more meaningful / applicable to my own life... when done well of course, i.e. here.

more things that are kinda unnecessary and weaken your argument because all they do is provide "I feel" sentiments:
I see all of the components of a great song here.
actually that might be all... but yeah, the point is- ideas like that may be useful sometimes, but use them sparingly I would suggest.
Again, this is just a critique for someone who seems like an ambitious promising reviewer.

@academy: Lol, actually, I realized that 2.5 was too harsh. I was riding iconoclasm, so I fixed my mistake.
@ all: I altered the review in many ways. Thank you for the feedback!

I fail to see what's wrong with simple instrumentation if it fits the mood of the album, and in this case I think it does. Also too much focus on the lyrics on Limousine, perhaps they aren't 'logical', but that definitely doesn't make them bad. I couldn't think of a better way of portraying that sad event through a song, man. Didn't neg though.

@Boog and Piglet: Thanks guys. I knew what I was getting into before I wrote the review, though its discouraging that an alternate take can't be given without being called a faggot, but hey, welcome to the internet.
@andcas: See, I can't accept vagueness in a song based off the death of Katie Flynn. Metaphors and profoundness, yes! But vagueness does her a dishonor. They were so close to something unforgettable, and they gave up on it. And honestly, I see "Deja" is being the album you describe in your comment.
@Glory: I'll never agree that something that is beyond comprehension is good. Better than standard pop lyrics, yes. If you notice, I have an issue with THIS SONG. The source material is too fragile and precious to do some airy, Mars Volta-esque job on it.

I don't like this album much, but I disagree with you on a lot of things. I think the instrumentals are the best part of the CD. They have a style that isn't fancy or even clean, but it works. I'm not negging, but I thought this was pretty poorly written.
