As I Lay Dying is alot better, but the 2.0 shows that they came out after the original (1.0). But I digress, Miss May I sucks balls.
LexigtonMusicPress (shit that it is) gave this album an 8/10. Also said that these guys are poised to take over the Metalcore throne from AILD. I thought this was one of the GREATEST things I'd ever read. Hadn't laughed that hard in a long time.

I actually really like As I Lay Dying. Besides, they should get credit for basically being the first
or one of the very first bands to play the melodic metalcore style.
They're the ones getting ripped off and having their sound turned into generic shit like Miss May I.

I'm not sure if your comment is aimed at me Eternium or not, but if it is, I agree with you. I respect As I Lay Dying. I'm not really big into Metalcore anymore, but I do like AILD. They created what people consider generic today. That's an accomplishment. Miss May I took the formula AILD created and made music with it. Unfortunately in Metalcore, that just pays off with a "copy-cat"-esque feel that puts people off...

By the way, you should really get out of the habit of calling this and bands like it metalcore, because it's totally different from the metalcore of far better bands such as Botch and Converge. That's why I said melodic metalcore.

sorry, but i disagree. this album is pretty good -- just as heavy and aggressive as the last album, and the melodic parts give it a bit more diversity. not to say it doesn't get redundant, but that is largely what you get with the metalcore genre. not sure what everyone is looking for/complaining about with this release.
