This sounds promising. I generally don't like this band but this might be good.

It really is surprisingly good. It's too bad they had to create a barrier to people giving it a shot with that horrible cover.

Hmm, I liked this album but.. best ever WT album? I gotta disagree.

I liked it. At times it felt like I was listening to the same song over and over again, but at least I wasn't listening to a shitty song over and over again.

Shot In The Dark, In The Middle Of the Night, Fire and Ice, Sinead, and Lost all rule on this.

depending on the review and the comments, I may give this a listen
never could stand the band, was always a generic female fronted metal group with pompous sound

Not a fan of Lost. Iron is good too.

Incidentally, my sister loves the song 'Sinéad'. Further incidentally, that's also her name. Can't wait for someone to release a 'Conor' some day...

Mother Earth is my favorite album by WT. After that album they probably heard Evanescence and thought that they wanna sound similar and become more commercial.

Hmm, I liked this album but.. best ever WT album? I gotta disagree. Which one do you think is the best? For me it goes like this: The Unforgiving, The Silent Force, The Heart of Everything, Mother Earth, Enter.
Shot In The Dark, In The Middle Of the Night, Fire and Ice, Sinead, and Lost all rule on this. I love "Shot in the Dark", but I think my favorites are "Where Is The Edge" and "Lost"

I think this one nudges a place between The Silent Force and The Heart of Everything for me.

That makes sense, because it's going to be the people that are into those two albums that will like this... the Mother Earth crowd probably gave up a long time ago.

I listened to the album all the way through and a lot of the songs
seemed to blend together...but then hearing them separately, there
are several that are awesome. Guess it's a testament to how
consistently good this is. I'm partial to "A Demon's Fate" and "In the
Middle of the Night".

Yeah, I wasn't really a fan of Mother Earth.

hate this band so I won't bother, good review though :]

Interesting...god, that's a horrible album cover, though!
I see what you mean...symphonic elements are definitely stripped and the overall songwriting is actually better
compared to the last few. TBH I liked the orchestral/symphonic stuff on earlier albums (Enter) so based on the review I
didn't expect to like this much, but it's better than I expected. Still not great and I'd definitely hesitate to call it their
best.
