Except "Song For Jeffrey", the rest are not that notable from a songwriting standpoint, imo. But the whole record has a very unique and inviting vibe. You can see the Tullies treating the blues in their own way, 'cause they add jazz aesthetics and blend them with Anderson's one of a kind flute playing. The way I see it, this is Stand Up without the great songs in it. Just a bunch of sliiightly derivative tunes with killer playing/atmosphere. Which is what could raise this from a 3 to a 3.5, imo

This is rated a lot lower than it should be.

Started out pretty cool, jazzy blues. It climaxed at Dharma for One, then just went into what felt like aimless blues jams to me for the rest of the album.

Nice review pos'v Storm In A Teacup
I always like "Thick As a Brick" & "Aqualung" vinyl that I bought in the mid 80s. Decided to dig the entire discog, starting here. Nice journey.
Good debut album, blues jazz-rock style.
