All of the songs remind of 1987 thrash, which Anthrax dominated at the time with seminal classic Among the Living.

^ gotta disagree with this, half of this album is very unthrash and very much mainstream radio metal/nu metal influenced at times.

The band have really delivered on this release. I may be the only one here who throughly enjoyed the John Bush discs, Belladona

stuff is better without a dought though.

so anxious to get my hands on this... Love the Belladonna years. Bush was good, but not nearly as enjoyable.

Sound of White Noise is a beast of an album. Love it.

And I wish folks liked Stomp 442 as much as me. I think that album is totally overlooked and underrated.

Didn't care for anything after that one, though. Volume 8 bored the piss out of me, and I hated their sound.

I got a chance to see Anthrax with Megadeth and Slayer last year. They're still fresh and fun and really know how to work the crowd.

Congrats on the feature dude. Summary was funny as hell and review was cool if quite conversational at

times. Pos'd.
I did the summary -- just saying ;). My summaries always suck and then I actually think of a decent one for someone else... go figure.

Oh yes this is great stuff, could drop to a 3.5 later but there are some fantastic tracks. It seems quality Anthrax only comes with Belladonna.

White Noise is the exception, WCFYA is decent too but still I find Anthrax doesn't really sound like they should with Bush, the classic line-up has what made them unique and recognizable in the first place.

Yeah I know what you mean. Aside from White Noise, all of the Bush albums have like 3 awesome songs but the albums as wholes arent that great.

Example, Fueled and Bare are ridiculously awesome songs off Stomp 442, but the rest of it kind of blows.

Safe Home and Black Dahlia are kick ass tunes off WCFYA

Catharsis, Crush, and Toast to the Extras off Volume 8
