I really do. I guess there aren't so many guys here who would do that. Unfortunately this band doesn't exist anymore.

Goodbye, I Guess and A Somber, Dull Call of Desire are genuinely fantastic songs

I thought the same thing (and I was part of that conversation!) until I went back and saw the actual conversation I was having

Although a very lengthy album that never seems to end, the sound that HRVRD has managed to create is intriguing. The vocals are powerful with the instrumental portions creating depth and poise.

There's no fillers which is rare for an album that long

It makes me sad that the follow up to this wasn't as mind blowingly good and won't crack my top 5 of the year

What the heck, that actually came out this year? Totally forgot about it.

It's definitely in mine.

Following a promising - if raw - EP, Charlotte rockers Harvard continue to impress on debut LP 'The Inevitable and I'. Playing a tantalizing mix of post-hardcore, indie & progressive rock, the quintet remind of Circa Survive, but are more diverse & have better pop sensibilities. Produced by Brian McTernan, the layered instrumentation creates a wonderful atmosphere, while the dynamic vocal range of Jesse Clasen handles both ballads & aggressive songs well. At 14 tracks & 64 minutes, it may be over-long, but 'The Inevitable and I' is an ambitious & cohesive record from a talented band. Recommended Tracks: Deliverance, Ghost, The Earth & Memory Police.

I can understand it if people compare the two bands the first time they hear this album but there are

barely any core similarities.
