Music for a Nurse and The Last Wrongs are both pretty much the greatest songs ever

[2] never gonna forget hearing that closer for the first time

It is a fantastic closer, though both Effloresce and Frames have better closers imo

Revisited and updated this rev, really in the mood for the album now. What a great record!

Wished I got around to these guys sooner. Had it in my mind they were another ISIS, which didn't really interest me, but this is brilliant. Great surprise.

Lol for real, still dig Isis a fair bit but Oceansize are way more interesting (esp the albums adjacent to this)

ISIS are fine, they're just not something I ever find myself wanting to hear.

Tbh i'm a huge Oceansize fan (arguably the biggest on Sput) and i would argue that Panopticon is every bit as monumental as Frames and Effloresce are

"A Homage to a Shame" is the kind of song Muse wished they could write haha.

You know, I haven't discovered a band I connect to a like this since probably Yellowcard from two years ago. Haven't been able to put them out of my rotation.

This is the one Oceansize album I haven't been able to own yet in some format. I haven't listened to it enough. It rules, though.

The closer is definitely my favourite Oceansize song. Really wish that they had done more vocal work along the lines of The Last Wrongs on their later work.

This is great.

Definitely.
These guys are so criminally underrated, even among prog fans.

I would hardly even pigeon hole them into that genre too. Many times they truly do their own thing. They have tons of depth and confidence in how they approach genres. Especially prog and post rock.

The vocal melody on No Tomorrow is exactly the same as Massive Attacks Dissolved Girl. Was doing me head in trying to recall where I’d heard it before and then it just popped into my head to immense satisfaction.

ah fuck i really miss this band : (
