Just listened to the flac version on my good headphones for the first time. And I gotta say, the attention to detail and the whole production work is pretty superb (that bass on "We exist" and "Here comes the Night Time")

"How many listens/days is appropriate before it's acceptable to write a review?"
Depends heavily on the album and personal preference. Also your review is not inacceptable.

Pavel, there isn't a set amount of time it takes to be able to write something good. Like John said, he'll be covering this soon, and because of his style of writing he'll be covering some important points with it. I guess that in a review like this, where you don't focus too much on the fascination behind Arcade Fire-- besides pointing out that it exists-- it'll likely tell me things I'm bound to realize when I spin the album myself.

Here comes the night time was my least favorite (beside Joan of Arc) but it actually kicks major ass.

Maybe I need to revise my style a bit, but I generally am uninterested by reviews that harp too much on the band's backstory. I thought I gave some of that- but I didn't want to go overboard.

This guy is the best user reviewer on this site. Another great review.

This album is by:
Arcade Fire feat. James Murphy.
James Murphy clearly was more than just a producer on this.

Nowhere. But his influence is gigantic.
it sounds like LCD Soundsystem with guest verses sometimes. (Supersymtery anyone?)

dont change your style pavel its great. to the point and without those emotional nonsense shit like some others that clearly has nothing to do with the album itself only the personal experience with it. and who can empathize with that anyway

Flashbulb Eyes is all kinds of awesome.
To add on the discussion of the review content: while it is true that maybe you should have let the album sink in a bit more, I don't necessarily agree with Omaha that a review should provide deeper insight and/or (over)analysis, aka the Pitchfork style. This reviewing style you adopt right now reads very naturally, flows well and it suits you, so don't change it.
My two cents.

Ed is right. The pace and everything reminds me much of Sound of Silver. Especially on the 2nd CD.

Agree. Don't change your style to much. It's nice to have some variety on the site, most regular reviewers are pretty pitchforky, introspective, searching for the deeper meaning, which is fine as well. But variety is good, and stylistically this review flows well. Just let it sink in a bit longer maybe.
