Only 3 hours 50 minutes left now, I can see the end in sight

like you already rated it so i thought you conquered the bad boy
gonna stick to the 50 minute version like the basic bitch I am

Album Rating: 4.3
I think I have a pretty good grasp of the music by now considering the ending is just a reprise of the beginning so yeah I slapped a rating on there
Plus, if you jam the 50-minute version you hear basically everything that's in the 24-hour one, it's just that each segment repeats for like two hours rather than just being 5-10 minutes long. So yeah nothing wrong with jamming the fuck out of the 50-minute I can't see myself going back to the 24-hour that often anyway, more of a novelty thing

yeah definitely plus Wayne apparently said the track is one big story actually

Album Rating: 4.3
I don't even want to try and speculate what it means, my brain would probably implode
|

well Wayne flat out said it was about a guy dealing with his girlfriend's suicide or something but it's pretty hard to make out what it's about since it's 24 FUCKING HOURS OF FLIPS JAMS

Album Rating: 4.3
Well damn, that's a lot darker than I'd expect from a Flips song. Then again it's not like they exclusively make happy music or anything but like I just have this image of them being this fun-loving band

let me get the link where he discusses it a bit more. Yeah, this and The Terror are ultimate gloom fests by Flaming Lips standards
very long read, but it explains the concept, and the idea behind the editing of the song for RSD: http://thefutureheart.com/7skiesh3vinyl/

Cheers dude this will be an interesting read
Trying to find a download for the six-hour song now but no luck yet, it's a rare one
"The picture verified Warner Brothers as the label issuing it and showed the test pressing label listing a quantity as “35 PCS,” leading some fans to speculate all 24 hours of the song will be released in a 35-LP box set." fucking fanboys, I swear to god sometimes

basically wayne coyne is sad that he and erykah badu had that embarrassing twitter beef

i think it may be on Youtube somewhere, but i think i found it long ago on soulseek. soulseek pretty much has everything. kinda bummed it wasn't 80 minutes like originally planned, but it's nearly perfect the way it is.

The six-hour song you mean? Sweet I'll try soulseek, forgot I had that on my computer, and just googling it was giving me nothing. What do you mean about it being 80 mins originally?
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.2 | Sound Off
yeah, i'm not too sure, but it's probably there. yeah, the band planned for 7 skies h3 to be 80 minutes, but decided to cut it down to 43 minutes, then changed it to the 50 minutes it is now.

Oh I thought you were talking about I Found A Star on the Ground. Yeah I wouldn't have minded this being 80 minutes at all, segments like Battling Voices and Riot In My Brain!!! are so fucking awesome they could be double their length. Also I think they should've gone ahead and put in the entire 25 minutes of Can't Shut Off My Head, it's just so beautifully dreary and hypnotising
