Thanks. Yeah it is, it's definitely not him at his best songwriting-wise but it has a real charm to it for sure.

It might well grow on you, Atari.

This album is refreshingly relaxed for Dylan.

Really? New Morning is similarly laid back and lyrically simple so you might like that one but it's nowhere near one of his best but the same goes for this.

Got a vinyl copy of this from a friend and I love it. Its a good Bob Dylan record if you already heard his classic albums 100 times.

this is one of my least favorite of the the prime Dylan releases, never really got this album, I get the reason behind it, but never really sat the same way as his other "experimental" albums. Besides the fact tat he was trying to not be as good in this period and turn of his fans, it would stand as a crowning achievement for most other musicians

also if anybody here likes the first song duet with Cash, you should check the boot of the whole studio session with the 2 of them, some really great stuff, but has a couple songs that did not work , thus bootleg status

am I the only one who thinks this sounds nothing like Dylan? Not just talking about the style, but that voice literally sounds nothing like him. Feel like I'm going crazy. Sounds like he's got warm mashed potatoes in his throat.

That was on purpose

Also my comment from 17 is funny, the Dylan/Cash sessions is now an official release

I know it's on purpose, but still how does he do it?! It doesn't sound like he's forcing himself to sound different, sounds very natural. I wonder if the production somehow aids in the difference? idk man just don't make sense to me

he wanted to eliminate some fans, and sound very country which is one of his fave genres, and he does, I don't like it, but some good songs on here, I like John Wesley Harding way better
