You started it when you insulted Emery. Of all bands! This. Is. Justice!

I wouldn't want the entire Emery thread gang on my case. I - uh - didn't mean it. Please don't spam my shoutbox for 500 pages.

So far I enjoy both Foundry and Grandfather more, the mellower mood of those are more my level

I'm so relieved that this was meant to be a Maggio solo album. I was really disappointed at first in the perceived "decision" to bench him.

Me too! I was really confused at first

I really appreciate how connected they are to their fanbase, I love that they responded to the confusion so quickly

Also I like that this is probably going to be a one-time thing and that future Tigers on Trains albums will feature van Deurs again

It was inevitable, but this is easily one of the year's best albums.

As per the review, I'm not sure if any of the tracks top The Grammarian, A Year in the Garden Shed or
Mont Ventoux, but the whole thing flows really, really well.

I love it too. Kind of like a less depressing Hollow Ponds

@omnipanzer They definitely haven't opened for Ben Folds, you must be confusing them with another band.

Given it a few more spins - I hope some more people take a chance on them because they've released 3 fantastic albums now.

Would love to catch a live show next time I'm in the U.S.

i mean there are A COUPLE great songs on here but the rest just seems like filler to me. i wouldn't call them "the best indie-folk band around" by any stretch of the imagination.

im not liking this as much as i thought i would. too much indie pop and not enough folk. i feel like itll grow on me though.

@themainmast - curious, have you listened to Grandfather before? It's still my favourite of theirs.
