Great review Explo, this sounds pretty cool so i'll check the stream out.
"welcome surprise from Soen, and is definitely warrants a listen"
is should be it.
Also, new Opeth is pretty cool, it grew on me a lot.

I had mixed feelings on this one at first listen... I agree, more Opeth than Tool oriented... it's a shame there are no solos on this album... Fun listen...

This album definitely surprised me. Couldn't get into Cognitive because it was too much TOOL worship. Not only have they dialed that back here, but all of the instruments and songwriting are kicked up a notch.
Also, great review!

Definitely. Closing two tracks are great.

The closing tracks might be my favorite, a whole album of 10+ minute songs from these guys would be very interesting, especially if it wasn't tool or Opeth worship, which I think they're capable of given how much more original this is.

Very good album I might bump this to a 4 soon. I like how they've shed much of their Tool copycat side, but it still needs to sink in more so I can fully appreciate it I guess. lots of nice opeth moments on here, and I'm not just talking drums

Kuraman is a 5/5 no doubt tho. I love how he's more free with his voice than on Cognitive

Nothing original here but the record is pretty solid.

Summary is 100% on the money. Definitely Tool-ey but less worship and more influenced-but-original
